Extended Care

We are dedicated to extending the Montessori philosophy beyond regular school hours, ensuring that every child receives quality care and opportunities.

At 7 Continents Montessori, our Extended Care provides a safe, enriching, and supportive environment for children outside of regular school hours. Designed to complement our Montessori educational approach, the Extended Care offers flexibility and continuity of care for families.

Key Features

Supervised Environment: Children in the Extended Care Program are supervised by caring and qualified staff members who understand the developmental needs of children. The environment is designed to be nurturing, supportive, and conducive to learning and play.

Continuation of Montessori Principles: The program integrates Montessori principles into its activities, offering children opportunities for exploration, independence, and self-directed learning even during extended hours. Montessori materials are available for children to engage with, fostering continued growth and development.

Enrichment Activities: Beyond regular school hours, children participate in a variety of enriching activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, music and movement, storytelling, yoga, dancing and quiet time for relaxation. These activities are designed to stimulate creativity, physical activity, and social interaction.

Flexible Scheduling: The Extended Care Program offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate the needs of working parents or families requiring extended care on certain days. This flexibility allows families to customize their child’s participation based on their specific schedules.

Socialization and Peer Interaction: Children have the opportunity to interact with peers from different age groups, promoting social skills such as cooperation, empathy, and conflict resolution. This diverse social environment supports children in developing positive relationships and communication skills.

Parent Communication: We maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s activities and progress during extended care hours. This partnership ensures that parents are informed and involved in their child’s experiences outside of regular school hours.
